According to a survey from WHO, each year road traffic injuries take away lives of 1.2 million men, women, and children around the globe and injure many more. The death toll is on the higher side for the countries where pedestrians, motorcyclists and passengers are vulnerable and vehicles lack the safety norms

VWS, a group concern of VFS  observed 78th National Road Safety Week with the support of West Bengal State Traffic Guard at the following places :

  • Barracpore,
  • Suri, Birbhum
  • Jalpaiguri
  • Chandannagar, Hooghly,
  • Kalyani
  • Uluberia, howrah

These activities help VFS spread awareness on the different rules & regulations one must follow while using the road. A puppet show on road safety was conducted for the students who were present during the activity.
