Six years back, Namita Malik, of Pahalampur Village, Hoogly District, was a simple homemaker. Her husband’s income from masonry was not sufficient to maintain the family. In this situation, she came to know about VFS. With the support of her husband, she decided to start a business in her own home. She took a loan of Rs. 12,000 from VFS for the first time and purchased a machine to make stove pins. At present, she owns different machines for designing, cutting and pinning in her new concrete house. Her four children are being sent to school. She has been hailed as a role model of a successful woman in her locality. Namita is grateful to VFS for the support she received from it to grow her business.
